Celebrity Look for Less: Turtleneck Dresses

Believe it or not there’s a little black dress style that you can wear to work: the turtleneck dress. They’ve quietly been becoming a trend this winter, and have been seen on Cameron Diaz, Khloe Kardashian, and Victoria Justice. We’ve found a couple of these elegant dresses for far less.

First, the Merino Wool Puff-Sleeved Dress by Ralph Lauren is cozy, modern, and timeless, made from super-soft merino wool. The puffed sleeves make the dress stand out.

Also, Victoria’s Secret has a Merino Ruched Turtleneck Sweaterdress with a scrunched turtleneck and ruched bodice. This is one of the few cases where you don’t have to be stick-thin to wear ruching. The long, lean cut and single color make it flattering on lots of women.

Turtleneck dresses look great with opaque tights, which carry on the “cozy” look, and you could wear pumps or boots. Don’t wear flats with it unless you have fabulous legs and ankles. If your hair is long enough to wear in a messy updo, this is a good outfit for the style. But the turtleneck dress also looks great with a gamine pixie cut. In short, it’s a very versatile, comfortable wardrobe piece that can go almost anywhere.
