Michael Jackson’s songs were easily the most consistently danceable of the decade. Like many people, I am not really sure where his fame went off the rails and turned into a bizarre curiosity. This is, after all, the man who added the phrase “baby dangling incident” to our lexicon.
But whether he was troubled, or just a grown-up who wanted the childhood he never got to have, it is safe to say that Michael Jackson was misunderstood and lonely, and his death was a very sad day for anyone who grew up in the 70s and 80s.
